My friend Dave came over and niece Mary joined us to make it a great day. Really enjoyed hearing Djinn again and buying their CD "Spirit." Checked out and was delighted by another fine small winery's production, Martin Ray, especially their Angeline ("heaven in a glass"). Sierra Nevada had their great Wheat on draft and a new one that I won't even tell you about, so you'll have to seek it out--well worth the search! Deerfield Ranch Winery's Red Rex and '03 Old Vine Zin were fabulous! Bought a big mug to take to Dead on the Creek two weeks hence from Mariposa porcelain & stoneware, which is worthwhile to search out, too, because their exquisite Sonoma potter, Beth Biermann, is one of the few potters whose art and artistry stand out. Had some great wines from winemaker Tony Coturri of his eponymous winery. Enjoyed hanging out with more friends, new and old, having some of the same high food experiences but with different dishes from Shiso, Maya, and EDK. Ended up dining in Deuce's patio for the best way to cap off a perfect Sonoma weekend!
